We’re listed in the Great British Brands 2025!

January 23rd, 2025

To kickstart what promises to be a very exciting 2025 for Harwood Advisory, we are incredibly proud to be acknowledged in the Great British Brands 2025 list once again.

Sat alongside some iconic names like De Beers Group, The National Gallery, Turnbull & Asser, Cunard, Chelsea Barracks, Berry Bros. & Rudd, and Barbour – we never underestimate the importance of our British roots, values and experience to our international audience.

Eternal thanks to the entire GBB and Country & Town House teams for their consideration, and for your continued support. In particular, a special nod to Jeremy Isaac & Lucy Cleland.

We’ve travelled so far since 2020. 2024 was our most challenging yet – but at the same time it was our most successful 12 months of trading.

From the English Countryside to Singapore via Dubai, we’re already hitting the ground running. It’s going to be an epic year.

Looking back and beyond…

2024 was our biggest year of trading. But it definitely wasn’t without its challenges.

According to The Times, sales of properties valued over £15 million dropped by 26% last year, with the total value of these transactions decreasing by 34%. Areas such as Knightsbridge and Belgravia were particularly affected.

In Holland Park, Harwood were a key part in the sale of one of the top 5 most expensive properties in London in 2024. In Academy Gardens, we handled one of the largest resales in Kensington. And in Oxfordshire, we were part of one of the biggest estate deals.

We all know too well that the combination of higher taxes on luxury properties and the abolition of non-dom status has led to a cooling effect, particularly in London’s super-prime world.

With the uncertainty leading up to the change of government in the UK, and the impact of the new Chancellors’ inaugural budget creating ripples ever since, it is obvious that our clients are assessing their options – both in terms of where they live, and how they invest in property.

As we look to 2025 and beyond, our plan is to broaden our reach – to continue to service our clients’ needs in London, but also further afield in the Countryside, and internationally.

In Dubai, Harwood have been selected as UK agents for Muraba Veil – a truly groundbreaking new 73 storey building of 131 luxury units. Designed by Pritzker Prize winning architects RCR – innovatively fusing inventive architecture ideas with the surrounding landscape – the Veil is a vision of future living.

With some recent successes, we continue to develop our relationships in Singapore, Hong Kong and New York. And we’re also actively furthering opportunities in the Channel Islands, and across mainland Europe.

Harwood was built to adapt and respond to our clients’ very specific needs. We act for them, and move with them – no matter where in the world they are looking to. And to do that as well as they need us to, we always have to stay more than one step ahead.

2025 >> Onwards. Upwards. And further than ever before. Bring it on.
